Advent 2: Peace in the Chaos
Gray Community Church   -

Peace is the theme on the second Sunday of Advent. Biblical peace, or shalom, is not the absence of struggle or pain, it is the presence of something greater that can resolve the brokenness. True peace, shalom, can only be found in the One who is called the Prince of Peace — Jesus. The very presence of Jesus in our lives brings peace regardless of what is going on around us because we have peace with God through the blood of Christ. Peace with God is unlike anything the world can offer us. The Bible describes it as a peace that surpasses our understanding.

In order to have peace in our lives we must:

1. Admit we need Jesus.
2. Receive Jesus.
3. Pursue Jesus.
4. Share Jesus with others.
