First and foremost, Whatever It Takes is a discipleship journey. We want to deepen our understanding of who God is and our response to Him in every aspect of our lives. When we see who God truly is, we freely respond with surrender, generosity, trust, and worship in every area of our lives. We want you to continue to grow as a disciple by attending Sunday services, serving on a team, growing in prayer and Bible reading, joining a community group, taking next steps into leadership, and making a difference in our community.

Next, Whatever It Takes is designed to help Gray Community Church move vision forward! There are four key goals for this two-year vision—Discipleship, Kingdom Impact, Multiplication, and Legacy—and you’ll see those throughout this initiative as we seek to reach all of Jones County and beyond.

Financial resources make the vision possible, and we invite you to pray and discern how God would ask you to give to this vision. Allow Him to inspire and challenge you toward greater generosity as we live out the calling to do whatever it takes so that every person in Jones County knows Jesus.

• Whatever It Takes Series – August 3rd-August 31st
• Legacy Offering Night – August 23rd. We are praying for above and beyond the remaining balance of $200k to purchase the property.
• Whatever It Takes Commitment Sunday – August 24th
• Celebration Sunday – September 7th
• Whatever It Takes fulfillment timeline – August 2025 through August 2027.

During our Whatever It Takes journey, we are all in this together to build disciples until all of Jones knows Jesus.  There is no designated giving during this two-year journey.

You may have been part of past giving initiatives where you were asked to give a second gift or give “above and beyond” your usual tithes/offerings to make special initiatives possible. During these two years, there are no separate funds or special initiatives. Every gift that is given to Gray Community Church will go to Whatever It Takes (which includes all three lanes – Kingdom Impact, Multiplication, and Legacy).

Yes! You will be able to see in the Church Center App your giving history. This will allow you to see your progress in a percentage and an amount towards your commitment.

These commitment cards are a tool to assist you in prayerfully deciding your giving level. These cards are not a legal promissory note. No one is going to track you down or guilt you if something prevents you from fulfilling your commitment. These are between you and God.

We are not using these totals to decide what ministry we are able to do. The total on the cards will not determine the vision God has given us, only the timeline of completion.

It is our prayer that we are able to purchase the property this fall. This will be contingent on the Legacy Offering August 23rd. We currently need $250,000 to purchase the property.

Once that happens, we will be able to begin renovating the property when we hit the $1.0m mark. Construction will take approximately 10 months once that happens.

We are preparing to hire both of these positions now. We are just waiting for God to raise up the right person(s) for the position. It is possible that these two positions can be filled by one family.

The best way to be all in on Whatever It Takes includes giving.

With that said, we know people are in varying places on their giving journey. We’d encourage you to take a step in giving. This is a great time for some to start giving for the first time!

Our whole church is part of Whatever It Takes over these next two years. So, we hope God grows generosity in all of us through these two years, but feel free to jump into other ways to serve in Whatever It Takes as we move forward. You can jump into serving on Sundays, at Kids Camps, during Student ministry, going on mission trips, and more! You’re invited to participate in all parts of Whatever It Takes regardless of giving amounts.

Everyone who commits and/or gives to Whatever It Takes will receive quarterly email updates on all the vision elements  and our progress in generosity.
